David J. Inauen
Executive Managing Director – Head of Research
Mr. Inauen is Head of Research of the Stanger Research Group, which maintains databases on Non-Traded REITs, business development companies, interval funds and other alternative investment products. Mr. Inauen previously served as Executive Vice President of Stanger, having joined the firm in 2012. While at Stanger, Mr. Inauen has provided advisory services to both traded and non-traded REITs, including reviews of strategic alternatives; mergers and acquisitions advisory services; management internalization and executive compensation advisory services; net asset value, real estate portfolio, taxable REIT subsidiary business value and debt mark-to-market valuation services; and fairness opinions. Prior to joining Stanger, Mr. Inauen was Vice President of Financo, Inc., a boutique investment bank dedicated to the merchandising sector. In his twelve years at Financo, Mr. Inauen provided a broad range of financial advisory services to the consumer and merchandising sectors, including sale, purchase, restructuring and private placement transactions, valuation and fairness opinions, business plan assessments, off-balance sheet financings, international franchising and joint ventures, SPAC advisory services and executive compensation negotiation. Mr. Inauen has advised both debtors-in-possession and creditor committees in bankruptcy cases. Mr. Inauen also served as a financial analyst at Mercantile Capital Partners, Financo’s private equity affiliate dedicated to investing in the merchandising sector. Mr. Inauen graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in accounting and finance, and is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Principal, an Investment Banking Principal, and a Research Principal.
