Fundraising Set to Surpass $200 Billion in 2025
Shrewsbury, New Jersey, December 23, 2025 – Robert A. Stanger & Company, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in non-listed alternative investment products, has published its November 2025 issue of The Stanger Market Pulse, complete with fundraising data of all alternative investments offered via the retail pipeline. These include public non-traded REITs, public non-traded BDCs, closed-end interval and tender offer funds, non-traded preferred stocks, Delaware statutory trusts, opportunity zone funds, private BDCs, private REITs and other private placements including infrastructure and private equity offerings.
Alternative Investment fundraising totaled approximately $185.4 billion through November led by public non-traded business development companies at $40.7 billion, other private placements, including infrastructure and private equity offerings, at $39.5 billion, interval funds at $36.4 billion, public offering closed-end tender offer funds at $25.0 billion and private offering BDCs at $17.2 billion. Public non-traded BDC fundraising is up 26.9% compared to this time last year while public non-traded REIT capital formation is down 3.9% having captured $5.3 billion of fundraising.

Stanger & Co., Inc., “Fundraising in credit-oriented products remained red hot all year as investors have shifted their investments away from non-traded REITs in 2025. Private offerings this year now account for over 41% ($77 billion) of the $185 billion in alternative investment fundraising by retail investors. As predicted, fundraising is on pace to top $200 billion for the year.”
Stanger’s survey of top sponsors tracks fundraising of all alternative investments offered via the retail pipeline including publicly registered non-traded REITs, non-traded business development companies, interval funds, non-traded preferred stock of traded REITs, Delaware statutory trusts, opportunity zone, and other private placement offerings.

Stanger & Co., Inc., “The top fundraisers in the alternative investment space year-to-date are Blackstone ($26.2 billion), KKR ($15.3 billion), Cliffwater ($15.1 billion), Ares Management Corporation ($14.5 billion) and Blue Owl Capital ($13.4 billion).”
